The man took the animal for himself and periodically walked it around the city. So that the owner wouldn't recognize the dog, the man repainted it black, writes dzh.by

— But he couldn't hide the dog for long: a few days later, police officers found the abductor, took the dog, and returned it to its owner, — said Viktoria Prakudina, senior assistant prosecutor of Dzyarzhynsk district.

The court sentenced the man to 1 year and 6 months of restricted freedom ('chemistry'). He will also be treated for chronic alcoholism.
