As long as the US continues its "military adventures" in the Middle East and near Iran, there can be no talk of an agreement, wrote Ebrahim Zolfaghari, official representative of the central operational headquarters "Khatam al-Anbiya" of the Iranian Armed Forces, on social network X after US strikes on southern Iran.
"The US government has repeatedly demonstrated that it only understands the language of force. Prepare for oil at $200 a barrel," he wrote.
On the night of May 26, the US military struck two patrol boats of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC), as well as an Iranian surface-to-air missile system in the port of Bandar Abbas.
The US reported that the boats were mining the Strait of Hormuz, and the SAM was aimed at American aircraft. The US called the strikes "defensive" and stated that the ceasefire regime continues to be in effect.
