Pensioner has been paying compensation to a drunk cyclist hit by his daughter for 22 years. He's tired and asks Lukashenka to intervene
Aleksandr Pavliuchkov had to take financial responsibility for the accident as the car's owner.

The situation was brought to attention by blogger Maria Vashchuk. She published a video appeal from the pensioner to Lukashenka on Threads.
Everything happened 22 years ago — on July 11, 2004. Aleksandr Pavliuchkov's daughter was driving her dad's "Ford" in the dark. Suddenly, the woman saw a cyclist coming towards her. Her parents say she decided to swerve to avoid the man, but a collision occurred.
The cyclist's hand hit the windshield, and his bike hit the right fender. The traffic police (DAI) and an ambulance were called to the scene of the accident. When the father — the car's owner — arrived, the cyclist was already receiving first aid. It turned out that the injured party was heavily drunk.

The pensioners show a document in which the cyclist wrote that on the day of the accident, he drank four bottles of vodka with a friend — and then, without a reflector, rode along the dark Kobryn—Kamyanyets road from Stryhava to Teuli (these are villages in the Kobryn district).
The documents indicate that the cyclist sustained an open fracture of the right radius, fractures of the first and second metacarpal bones of the left hand, dislocation of the right ulna, and a closed traumatic brain injury.

At that time, Aleksandr Pavliuchkov was still working. As the owner of the car, he paid some compensation to the injured party. He says it was 700 rubles, but it's unclear what amount is meant — whether it was 700 thousand, or if he already factored in the future denomination.
In addition, the cyclist received insurance — under Pavliuchkov's compulsory insurance policy.
Meanwhile, the criminal case against Aleksandr's daughter was closed due to reconciliation of the parties. This means she ultimately admitted her guilt.
However, the cyclist didn't stop there and went to court with a civil lawsuit to receive greater compensation. And he won.
The car owner says that 70% of his earnings began to be deducted in favor of the injured party, and later they managed to achieve a reduction to 20%.

The cyclist received a lifelong third group disability (60% loss of health was indicated).
For 22 years now, the injured party has been receiving both a disability pension and compensation from Aleksandr Pavliuchkov. Aleksandr himself has retired during this time — and money is also deducted from his pension in favor of the injured party.

And if it happens that the injured party outlives Aleksandr, then Pavliuchkov's four children will have to pay him (within the limits of the inheritance received from their father).
However, Aleksandr believes that the injured party lives a normal life — even works. He also claims that after the accident, the cyclist became involved in another criminal case — he severely beat a person in a village store, and subsequently served correctional labor (colloquially "chemistry").
Together with his wife, Aleksandr is indignant that he is forced to save on everything, while the cyclist has been receiving both a salary, a pension, and money as compensation for an accident 22 years ago for many years.
The pensioner considers such a situation unfair, asks Aleksandr Lukashenka to intervene and release Aleksandr from payments to the injured cyclist.
