The limonarium in the Central Botanical Garden of Minsk opened to visitors on October 30. For three days, visitors can get acquainted with subtropical fruit plants during their active fruiting period, reports CTV channel.

Guests will be able to take photos among exotic plants, ask questions to specialists, and learn about the peculiarities of growing various crops. The limonarium's collection comprises over 120 varieties.
The exhibition's core consists of popular citrus fruits, but there are also rare species — fortunella, calamondin, and bergamot.

As reported by Iryna Kabusheva, a leading researcher at the laboratory of greenhouse plants of the Central Botanical Garden of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus, New Zealand lemons, which have large fruits, yielded particularly well, as did the giant pomelo. There are also many fruits on the Meyer lemon. According to her, it is unlikely to see such a quantity of these plants anywhere else in Minsk.
