The woman decided to exchange money outside the bank because the offered exchange rate seemed more attractive to her.

In a thematic group on Telegram, she found a user who offered to exchange rubles for Chinese yuan. According to the agreement, the woman was to transfer the entire amount to him and, in return, receive yuan to her bank card.

However, after transferring the money to the specified card, the supposed currency exchanger disappeared and stopped responding.

Investigators opened a criminal case for fraud.
