Today, 664 hotels are operating in the country, but the state program envisages an increase in the number of rooms by 30%. This was stated on ONT by Denis Bezok, Deputy Director of the National Tourism Agency, writes Mlyn.by.
Accommodation prices in Belarus vary significantly. In some hotels, a day costs only 27 rubles. According to the expert, this is more of a 'roof over your head' option than a level that allows the establishment to develop and meet modern requirements.
In Minsk, the average room price is about 190 rubles per day. However, in some hotels, the price can reach 500 rubles. The price is influenced by the hotel's location, service level, and additional services. For example, breakfast or a buffet is often included in the price.
Additionally, hotels are increasingly using dynamic pricing. During holidays and periods of high demand, accommodation prices may increase.
"This is business, it's correct. More expenses, more investments — accordingly, they set higher prices. At the same time, no special regulation is required here: the guest regulates the market with their wallet," explained Denis Bezok.
According to him, if a hotel with a less than ideal location and condition sets too high a price, tourists will simply choose another option.
