Pashinyan stated he would be very happy if Armenia were expelled from the CSTO
Peskov said that Yerevan is free to leave the organization.

Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan noted that he would be "very happy" if the Collective Security Treaty Organization itself decided to exclude Armenia from the bloc, writes Dozhd.
"In any case, this will free us from the dilemma – to leave or not to leave," he noted.
Commenting on this statement, Russian Presidential Press Secretary Dmitry Peskov noted that Yerevan is "free to leave" the organization if it "no longer needs, due to its national interests, membership in such an important organization for ensuring regional security."
He also added that earlier Armenia had only stated a freeze on its membership in the organization, and did not plan to withdraw from it.
Regarding Armenia's application process to join the EU, Peskov advised Armenia to recall the experience of Turkey and "other countries," "decades have already passed since their applications were submitted."
