Pavel Kharlanchuk's ex-wife admitted that she "still feels empty" inside

Hanna tells that she is writing this post from a hospital room: the filming day ended in the evening, and an ambulance took her away at night.

She has severe anemia — hemoglobin 78, she started to suffocate.

"And you know what's funny? I should have been here a long time ago. Because for the past six years, I haven't been breathing. I was just pretending.

For 17 years, I was a wife. Happy. Loved. Mother of five children. It was my home, my stage, my role, which I loved with all my heart.

We broke up after 17 years.

And I started doing everything "right." I trained as a psychologist. I act in films. I play roles. I enjoy my children. I do sports. I drink cappuccino at my favorite cafe. I'm creating a new life.

I did everything to "choose myself."

But inside—emptiness.

I don't know how to explain it. It's like being an actress in my own film. You play happiness, success, freedom. But inside—no sound. Nothing. Silence," Hanna writes.

She says she didn't understand what was wrong for a long time.

"I thought: maybe I haven't let go of my husband yet? But no. I don't want him back.

Do I miss him? No.

I miss the status of "wife." The security of being a part of someone. When you have a wall behind you. When you're not solely responsible for everything.

I miss the time when my blood flowed for someone.

Now it has stopped. Hemoglobin 78 is not just numbers. It's my blood refusing to live for itself. It sees no meaning. It says: "Why flow if no one is waiting for you?"

Doctors say: "Anemia, take iron." But iron won't fill this emptiness. I can take medication, I can eat meat, I can breathe oxygen. But if there's no desire to live inside—iron won't help," she muses.

Hanna writes that it was in the hospital that she understood the main thing.

"I wasn't afraid of losing my husband. I was afraid of being left alone with myself.

I was so afraid of this emptiness that I filled it with work, roles, children, sports, studies. But the emptiness didn't disappear. It just hid beneath the beautiful image of a 'successful woman.'

And now my body has said: 'Stop running. Let's face this emptiness head-on.'"

I don't know when my hemoglobin will rise.

But I know one thing: I'm stopping the act. I'm stopping being the "actress of my life." I just want to be alive.

I want to allow myself to be nobody. Not a psychologist, not an actress, not a mother, not an ex-wife. Just a woman who is sick, who is tired, who has the right to want nothing.

I allow myself this emptiness. Because only by going through it can one be reborn," she writes.

Hanna assures that this is not a story about divorce. "This is a story about how we learn to live without roles. How we get our blood back when it seems like there's none left."

Having published such a candid post, Hanna explains why she did it:

"I know there are those here for whom it is important to hear this."

Pavel Kharlanchuk and Hanna Yuzhakova were one of the most prominent couples in the Belarusian theater and cinematography scene for almost twenty years. Kharlanchuk is a former star of the Kupalaŭski Theater, who left the theater amidst the events of 2020 and was forced to move to Moscow, where he got a job at the Moscow Provincial Theater under the direction of Sergey Bezrukov.

The actors raised five children — three of their own and two adopted.

However, in January 2023, the couple officially divorced, which Yuzhakova publicly announced a few months later. Later, the ex-spouses had to play a family again on the set of the Russian TV series "Obsession."
