Over two days, hunters killed three bears in the Vitebsk region. This was reported by the Belarusian Organization of Hunters and Fishermen.
On August 22, in the Dokshytsy hunting ground, Yury Kabak killed a male bear aged 4-5 years. On the same day, Dmitry Dmitrichenkov obtained a similar trophy in the Hlybokaye district.
Another bear was killed on August 23 in the Vitebsk hunting ground. Andrey Kolchav shot a female bear, approximately 3-4 years old.
The bear hunting season does not end here. On August 25, the Belarusian Society of Hunters and Fishermen plans to hold its eighth draw for the right to hunt a bear in their grounds. To participate, hunters must submit an application in advance.
The total number of brown bears in Belarus is estimated at approximately 700 individuals.
