Luca van Boven managed to finish the race.

Belgian cyclist Luca Van Boven suffered two broken ribs and a collapsed lung as a result of a fall during the seventh stage of the "Vuelta a España", the press service of the Lotto-Intermarché team reported on the social network X.
As Cyclingnews writes, the incident occurred 22.8 km before the finish. Van Boven collided with Italian XDS Astana rider Alessandro Rommel, after which he fell and hit a house wall.
Despite his injuries, the Belgian managed to finish the stage, after which he was taken to the hospital.
"Luca Van Boven sustained two broken ribs and a collapsed lung as a result of a serious crash in stage seven of La Vuelta, which he courageously managed to complete. Luca will remain in hospital overnight for further observation and, unfortunately, will not start tomorrow. His condition will continue to be closely monitored. We are sad to lose such a valuable teammate and such a positive person from the team. We wish Luca strength and a speedy recovery," Lotto-Intermarché said in a statement.
