Trump announced the creation of an American military base in Poland
US President Donald Trump announced that an American military base could be established in Poland. He wrote about this on September 17 on the social network Truth Social.

According to Trump, thanks to the "bold leadership" of Polish President Karol Nawrocki, significant progress has been made in establishing the base. If the project is realized, the location of the base, according to the American president, will be announced "very soon." Trump called this a historic step for the American-Polish alliance.

The issue of a permanent presence of American troops in Poland has been discussed for several months. In May, Polish Defense Minister Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz reported that the US Department of Defense had positively reacted to the Polish proposal to station a permanent American contingent in the country, but a final decision had not yet been made at that time.
In June, the Polish government approved a resolution that initiates the formal procedure for establishing a permanent US armed forces base on the country's territory. Currently, American troops are already in Poland, but their presence is rotational.
