On September 30, International Bison Day, another volume of the International Studbook for European Bison was published.

According to the data presented therein, the largest number of bison is currently in Poland — 3491 animals.
Russia is in second place with 3408 bison, and Belarus ranks third — 2985 bison.
In total, there are 13,055 bison in the world. Over the past year, their number in Belarus has increased by 58 individuals.
