Ukrainian given suspended sentence for transferring software for a military aviation simulator to Belarus
A citizen of Ukraine was convicted for illegally transferring software for the KTS-21M military simulator to Belarus, which is used for training MiG-29 fighter pilots. The man pleaded guilty and entered into a plea bargain with the investigation, writes "Radio Svaboda".

The court sentenced the accused to two years of imprisonment, but released him from serving the sentence with a two-year probationary period. During this period, he will be under the supervision of probation authorities. The convicted person was also prohibited from leaving Ukraine without special permission.
According to the case materials, the transfer of technologies took place no later than June 2025 via one of the messengers. For this, the Ukrainian received 1000 dollars.
Several citizens of Ukraine were involved in the case. One of them, according to investigators, works in Belarus at CJSC "Group of Production Technologies and Aviation Engineering "Aeromash" in Machulishchy near Minsk. The enterprise is engaged in the development, production, repair, and modernization of aviation equipment, and also creates simulators and programs for training flight and engineering personnel.
Pilots of MiG-29 military aircraft are trained on KTS-21M simulators. The convicted person previously worked as a designer of modular electronic aviation simulators for Mi-8 and Mi-24 military helicopters, MiG-29 fighters, and Il-76 transport aircraft. He received the transferred technologies through his former colleague from the Institute of Automated Systems of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine.
The case was related to sanction circumvention and the violation of international rules for the transfer of dual-use goods and services.
