Mogilevliftmash to Produce Elevator for Skyscrapers

The company will start producing an elevator capable of moving at a speed of up to four meters per second. This model will be suitable for buildings up to 200 meters high. Ruslan Strakhar, General Director of Mogilevliftmash, spoke about the new development at the INNOPROM. Belarus exhibition.

«Building construction is growing vertically, and we are following suit. We have already developed and are selling elevators with a speed of 2.5 meters per second. This year, we are introducing a new model with a speed of four meters per second to the market. This will allow us to equip buildings up to 200 meters high with elevators,» he stated.

Four meters per second is 14.4 kilometers per hour. Currently, the fastest passenger elevators in Mogilevliftmash's catalog reach up to 2.5 meters per second.
