In Estonia, a man broke into someone else's apartment to retrieve his cat
Moreover, before the "crime," he called the police and clarified what the consequences would be.

In Tallinn, a man broke into someone else's apartment to get back his cat, which he was refused after a temporary hold, writes Postimees.
The cat was previously found by Cats Help volunteers and given to a woman for temporary care. When the owner found his pet, the woman refused to return it, and later announced on social media that the animal had allegedly disappeared. The man then decided to retrieve the cat himself.
Before this, he called the police, told them about his plan, and asked what punishment he might face.
He opened the slightly ajar apartment window but did not climb in himself. Instead, he offered a bottle of vodka to a random passerby to retrieve the cat.
The police initiated a criminal case, but the prosecutor's office later dropped it, deeming the man's culpability insignificant.
Now he will have to pay 152 euros for the damaged window.
And the cat remained with the man.
