In Minsk, several new overpasses and roads are planned to be built in the coming years, which should improve transport links between the city districts and reduce the load on individual major roads, reports the press service of the Minsk City Executive Committee.

As reported at an operational meeting at the Minsk City Executive Committee by Alexey Gavorka, director of UE "Minsk Engineering Project", an overpass is currently under construction from Kolesnikova Street to Timiryazeva Street. In addition, Kolesnikova Lane will be extended to the Minsk Ring Road, and reconstruction has already begun on Timiryazeva Street.
Preliminary design work is also underway for the construction of an overpass between Serova and Shpilevskogo streets. It is intended to connect the Oktyabrsky and Leninsky districts of Minsk. They plan to prepare the project documentation next year and start construction in 2027-2028.
Another project envisages the construction of a road from Svislochskaya Street to Selitskogo Street. The new section will create an additional exit to the "Minsk" Free Economic Zone and to the area of Selitskogo Street, and should also take on part of the traffic flow from Partizanski Avenue. Project documentation for this facility is planned to be prepared by the end of 2026.
According to Alexey Gavorka, new and reconstructed engineering and transport infrastructure facilities are being created in order to make movement around the capital more convenient for residents and guests of Minsk.
