Artificial Christmas trees for the New Year have already started to be sold at "Expobel" in Minsk. So far, only a few types of trees are presented at the market, but sellers say that they plan to replenish the assortment with new models, writes pristalica.by.

In four retail outlets, journalists saw sellers taking Christmas trees out of boxes, assembling them, and straightening their thick branches to show customers. Cheaper models made of PVC film were not available for sale – mostly higher-quality molded Christmas trees were offered.

A classic artificial Christmas tree 80 centimeters high costs 150 rubles. Meter-high models are sold for 150-210 rubles, 1.3 meters high – from 200 rubles, 1.6 meters – from 300 rubles, 1.9 meters – from 400 rubles, and a 2.2-meter tree costs 500 rubles. The tallest and most expensive of those on sale was a three-meter tree weighing 50 kilograms for 2500 rubles.

Christmas trees with a hoarfrost effect cost 15-150 rubles more than ordinary ones. The spraying varies: from light, which only slightly covers the branches, to a dense imitation of real snow. Now you can buy such a Christmas tree 80 centimeters high for 165 rubles, a meter-high one for 250 rubles, and a 1.6-meter high one for 450 rubles.

There isn't much New Year's decor for home and street yet, but some selection is already available. A Christmas tree ribbon 2.7 meters long costs 65 rubles; a more luxuriant one with hoarfrost and cones costs about 200 rubles. Decorative branches are sold for 15-20 rubles, and door wreaths cost from 40 to 100 rubles.
