The museum quarter in Minsk is planned to open to visitors in 2028. The new museum complex will take into account modern inclusivity standards to ensure the space is convenient, including for people with disabilities, writes the "Minsk-Novosti" agency.

As reported by Iryna Matsiash, the Director General of the National Art Museum, thanks to modernization, the country's main art museum will gain additional exhibition spaces, a lecture hall, and new storage facilities.
The expansion of the museum became necessary partly due to the rapid growth of its collection. In the last year alone, the museum's funds were replenished with 5600 works of Belarusian art. Currently, the total number of exhibits in the collection exceeds 40 thousand.
Iryna Matsiash noted that the renovated space will create conditions that meet modern requirements for inclusivity. According to her, it is expected that the museum quarter will become a cultural center where residents of Minsk and guests of the capital can comfortably spend the whole day.
