Tropical cyclones have claimed more than 1,200 lives in Southeast Asia.
Tropical cyclones "Ditwa" and "Senyar" have claimed the lives of more than 1,200 people. According to local media reports, all these people died as a result of devastating floods in Indonesia, Sri Lanka, Malaysia and Thailand. More than a million people were forced to leave their homes.

The damage caused by the disaster in Sri Lanka is the most severe since the terrible tsunami of 2004. Roads and bridges have been washed away, and more than 15,000 homes have been destroyed.
It is reported that India has allowed Pakistan to use its airspace to provide humanitarian assistance to Sri Lanka, despite the tensions that persist between the countries.
On the Indonesian island of Sumatra, the number of deaths from the cyclone has risen to 702, with 499 people still missing, according to the Indonesian National Search and Rescue Agency.
Overall, the death toll continues to rise, hundreds of people are still missing, and access for rescuers to the affected areas is difficult.
