Minsk Resident Stole Eight Packs of Coffee from a Store and Then Sold Them
A verdict was handed down to a 41-year-old Minsk resident, previously repeatedly convicted, who was accused of theft, reported the Minsk-Novosti agency in the Partizansky district prosecutor's office.

At lunchtime, the accused went into the store with his wife. While the woman was choosing a drink, her husband, making sure no one was watching him, began taking packages of coffee from the shelf and putting them into his bag, after which he unhinderedly left the retail outlet. In total, he stole eight packs of coffee worth almost 450 rubles, which he later sold.
The identity of the perpetrator was established from video surveillance camera recordings, and another criminal case was initiated against him. He fully admitted his guilt and repented for his actions. It is known that at the time of the crime, he was under the influence of narcotic substances.
Previously, the accused, who works as a general laborer in a private company, had been brought to criminal responsibility four times, including for theft.
The court has now found him guilty of repeated secret theft of property (theft) and, based on Part 2 of Art. 205 of the Criminal Code, sentenced him to restriction of liberty without referral to an open-type correctional facility for a term of 1 year and 6 months. In addition, the citizen must undergo compulsory treatment for drug addiction.
