Zelensky reported on a telephone conversation with Special Representative Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner. The Ukrainian side was joined, among others, by Defense Minister Rustem Umerov, Chief of the General Staff of the AFU Andriy Hnatov, and Foreign Minister Andriy Sybiha, and others.
"We discussed some significant details of the work. There are good ideas that can work for a common result and lasting peace. True security, true recovery, true peace – this is what we all need," the Ukrainian president noted.
He added that Umerov will later hold a separate conversation with Witkoff and Kushner: "We believe this is the right approach – not to lose a single day or a single opportunity that can bring us closer to a result. May today's conversation be another step towards peace."
Zelensky asked the American representatives to convey Christmas greetings to Trump and his entire family.
