A resident of Dobrush contacted the police with a statement about the theft of various property from the basement of a premise she uses. An unknown person broke the padlock and took what they liked.

Among the stolen items were a motorcycle battery, its charger, and jars of preserves. In total, more than 20 jars disappeared from the shelves.
The police identified a suspect — a 72-year-old woman.
In the woman's home, preserves with handwritten labels on the lids were found. Similarly marked jars were also stored in the victim's basement. To determine the truth, a forensic handwriting examination was appointed.
As a result of detailed analysis, characteristics individualizing the handwriting of the preserves' owner were identified. The inscriptions on all jars were made by the same person, reports the State Committee of Forensic Examinations.
