Speaking at a press conference before journalists, American Republican Senator Lindsey Graham stated that US President Donald Trump allegedly offered Venezuelan leader Nicolas Maduro to leave for Turkey, but he did not take up the offer.

"Today he could be in Turkey, but he's in New York. So when you tell people in Cuba that you need to stop being a communist dictatorship, threatening America, and you should go somewhere else, you better take that offer. Maduro can only blame himself.
He [Trump — Ed.] gave him a chance to leave. But he chose to challenge Trump and the American military, and his ass is in jail, where he deserves to be," said the senator, known as one of the main Republican lobbyists for a tough US stance on the Putin and Lukashenka regimes.
