After Washington captures Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro, Cuba's communist regime could be on the verge of collapse. This was stated by influential Republican Senator Lindsey Graham, as reported by The Hill.
“The communist dictatorship in Cuba has no chance of surviving after Maduro's overthrow. It's all over, it's only a matter of time,” Graham stated.
Journalists also recall Trump's words, who stated that Cuba's regime is “ready to fall.” This is due to Cuba being a close ally of Venezuela and heavily reliant on oil imports from that country.
Regarding the situation in Cuba, the publication writes: the country has been under a communist dictatorship for over 60 years. And Human Rights Watch attests that as of 2024, the Cuban government “continues to suppress and punish all forms of dissent and public criticism” amid a severe economic crisis.
