Zelenskyy suggested the US capture Kadyrov, following the Maduro example, to pressure Putin
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy stated that the United States could conduct a special operation to capture the head of Chechnya, Ramzan Kadyrov. According to the Ukrainian leader, this would be an effective tool to pressure Vladimir Putin to end the war.

Zelenskyy drew parallels with the recent operation against Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro.
"Please, here's an example with Maduro. An operation was carried out. Everyone saw the result, the whole world. They did it quickly. Well, let them [the US] conduct some operation with this, what's his name... with Kadyrov, with this murderer. Maybe then Putin will see it and think about it," Zelenskyy said during a conversation with journalists.
The President of Ukraine emphasized that Washington possesses all the necessary tools for real pressure on Russia and knows how to use them. The main thing, according to him, is for Ukraine to remain a priority for the US.
Zelenskyy noted that representatives of Donald Trump's team are negotiating with Russia, but Moscow is still "turning up its nose." In response to such behavior, the Ukrainian leader warned the Kremlin: Kyiv has "quite strong" partners who, if they wish, "can twist their nose off."
Zelenskyy also outlined a plan of action in case the diplomatic track with a peace agreement fails due to Russia's position. In such a scenario, Ukraine would need maximum support for defense: air defense systems, financing for drone production, and sky protection.
"Partners know everything. They must move faster. As if the war is not in our country, but in theirs," Zelenskyy concluded.
