Volfovich: Venezuelan Scenario Impossible in Belarus, as Security Forces Have No Right to Betray Lukashenka
State Secretary of the Security Council of Belarus Alexander Volfovich stated that in Venezuela, American special forces were able to fly over the country's territory without any obstacles and carry out an operation to capture Nicolas Maduro because betrayal occurred within the Venezuelan leader's inner circle.

According to Alexander Volfovich, what happened in Venezuela became possible due to betrayal within the country — both in relation to the head of state and the current government. He emphasized that foreign military personnel did not even receive warning shots in response.
Volfovich assured that a similar scenario is impossible in Belarus. According to his conviction, Belarusian security forces are not capable of betrayal and cannot go against their leader:
"We cannot betray our president, we simply do not have the right to do so."
At the same time, he noted that legislative mechanisms are foreseen in Belarus in advance in case Lukashenka is temporarily unable to perform his duties. In such situations, the Security Council must convene to make the necessary decisions, and this supposedly guarantees continuous governance of the state without loss of control even for a short time.
