Minsk resident hears elevator sound in his apartment. He complained to officials
A resident of the "Minsk-World" complex claims that two years after moving in, he started hearing the elevators working directly in his apartment. With a complaint about the constant noise, the man went to a personal reception with the head of the Oktyabrsky District administration, writes Onliner.by.

The Minsk resident lives on the second floor. According to him, he hadn't experienced any discomfort before, but recently he started clearly hearing the sound of the elevator equipment working. That's why he is confident: the problem is not in the building's layout, but in the malfunction of the elevators themselves.
Initially, the man contacted the organization "Happy Planet". Specialists inspected the equipment and performed sound insulation on the elevator shaft door leaves. However, the resident was not satisfied with the result — the noise, he says, did not disappear.
Then the district Center for Hygiene and Epidemiology got involved in the situation. Specialists measured the noise level, but did not record any exceedances of standards. The Minsk resident disagreed with this conclusion and continued to insist that it was impossible to live in such conditions.
At the reception, the head of the district emphasized: specialists from supervisory bodies bear personal responsibility for the conclusions they issue, therefore there are no grounds to doubt their objectivity. At the same time, the servicing organization was instructed to re-examine the situation and, if necessary, perform additional sound insulation work.
