A new sauce has appeared in Belarus, outwardly resembling mayonnaise, but made without the use of animal-derived ingredients. The Minsk manufacturer, well-known for its mayonnaise products, has started selling the product under the brand name "Zalataya Kroplya" (Golden Drop), writes Telegraf.news.

The new sauce, named "Vegan," consists entirely of plant-based components. The Minsk Margarine Plant notes that it is designed for people who adhere to a healthy lifestyle, observe fasts, as well as for vegans and vegetarians.
The main features of the new product are low calorie content, absence of animal fats, use of pea protein as a valuable source of plant protein, and absence of preservatives. The full composition is not yet available, as the sauce has not yet appeared on the manufacturer's official website.
Similar pea sauces are not a unique development by Belarusian technologists. They have been used in various countries around the world for a long time. For example, in Great Britain, a popular side dish for fish and chips is a thick green puree made from dried peas with mint and lemon juice. In India, peas are often added to spicy sauces based on tomatoes, onions, cashews, or coconut milk, which can be either a condiment or standalone dishes.
Previously, the Minsk Margarine Plant had already surprised customers with unusual new products: the "Zalataya Kroplya" sauce line featured mayonnaise of a delicate pink color, which is unusual for a classic product.
