"This is a cruel experiment." A courier delivered a bouquet to a Minsk resident on her birthday, and took it back 10 minutes later
Belarusian artist Natalya Medved told in Threads how the flower delivery service "Ruzhy.by" ruined her festive mood on her birthday.

"A courier from 'Ruzhy.by' brought me a bouquet, and 10 minutes later took it back. He got them mixed up. So, dear 'Ruzhy.by', you cannot treat girls like that. You cannot give flowers and then take them back. This is a cruel experiment on one's psyche on her very birthday," Natalya wrote about the unpleasant incident in Threads.

The artist eventually received the flowers that were specifically intended for her — the courier exchanged them — but her mood was irrevocably spoiled.
Another girl in the comments recounted a similar situation with the same delivery service: "I also had such a situation with 'Ruzhy.by'. My boyfriend decided to surprise me from afar, just as a surprise he ordered a small bouquet. The courier brings a gorgeous bouquet, I manage to take a photo and message my boyfriend with delight. I realize that the photo of the bouquet surprised him... A couple of minutes later, the courier returned and said he got them mixed up. He replaced it with the one my boyfriend ordered, a nice bouquet but much smaller in size... For me, it's pleasant to simply receive attention from my boyfriend anyway, but he felt awkward and got upset."
Many in the comments wrote that in such a situation they would refuse to give the flowers back. Someone thought the problem was that the first bouquet was more luxurious. Natalya, however, claims: she liked her own bouquet more.
After the post in Threads, which garnered over 20,000 views, a representative from "Ruzhy.by" contacted Natalya. She once again apologized for the courier's mistake.

But Natalya believes that a simple "sorry" is an ethical failure, as the company doesn't pay attention to the client's feelings. She feels sorry for the courier, but "professionalism is not the absence of mistakes, but the correct actions after them." The woman writes that to give and take back is approximately like apologizing after hitting someone in the face. Therefore, in her opinion, it would have been right to leave both bouquets.
