Using thermal imagers, specialists determine the temperature of everyone arriving in Belarus.
"First, the flow is controlled by stationary thermal imagers. That is, we see it here first, and then, when the passenger flow comes here, we see it on this thermal imager. So, it's double control. Green color if everything is fine, and red color if there is a temperature increase," said Natalia Autukhova, Deputy Chief Doctor of the Minsk City Center of Hygiene and Epidemiology.
At a temperature of 37.5 degrees Celsius and above, the person is taken to a medical point for examination, and if dangerous viruses are suspected, they are placed in an isolation ward until a diagnosis is made. Clinical material is sent to the laboratory of biotechnology and immunodiagnostics of especially dangerous infections, where it is possible to detect various exotic viruses.
