Around four in the morning, an alarm system at a private residential house in the Smolevichi district was triggered. Employees of the Zhodino Department of Protection immediately responded, reports the press service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.
Upon arrival, police blocked the property where three armed intruders were located. They resisted, and police used automatic weapons. Two of the attackers were detained immediately, while the third fled with a weapon. A special plan was introduced in the Zhodino and Smolevichi districts to apprehend the armed criminals. The third was apprehended in the Smolevichi district after a brief search.
The attackers turned out to be foreign citizens; one is 17 years old, and two are 18 years old.
The Minister of Internal Affairs, Ivan Kubrakov, personally went to the crime scene.
It is reported that, given the contract nature of the attack, employees of the National Central Bureau of Interpol have been involved in the investigation.
Three victims (born between 1958 and 1962) were taken to the hospital.
