Lukashenka stated that he offered the US an ideal course of action regarding Venezuela, but they created a mess. He said this at a meeting with State Secretary of the Union State Sergey Glazyev, as reported by BelTA.
"I constantly tell them (the US), openly tell them where they are wrong. They are wrong with Maduro – they created a mess. I warned them."
"At the Americans' suggestion (not by myself - they asked me), I got involved in this problem. And I offered them an ideal solution. An ideal solution! But they went their own way. Donald wanted to somehow please the military," he stated.
"Well, and what have they done? One must always think: you made a move, and then what? Well, what now? What blame for drug trafficking can be attributed to Maduro? What can he be accused of? Well, prove that he led some cartel there. As for the fact that the whole world trades in drugs, that's true," Alexander Lukashenka noted.
