"Macron has now come to his senses." Lukashenka said he conveyed a message from Putin to the French
At today's meeting with Sergei Glazyev, Lukashenka spoke negatively towards the EU.

Lukashenka with Emmanuel Macron, Croatian President Kolinda Grabar-Kitarović, Vladimir Putin, and FIFA President Gianni Infantino after the 2018 FIFA World Cup final in Moscow.
"You take this Europe now. They are tearing it apart, breaking it, eliminating it, so that there is no euro, no economy, nothing. Who does this harm first? The American. And this is not the first year, it is constant. And Trump was not the initiator, being delighted that such a powerful economic hub, a technologically developed territory, a solid competitor for everyone, is developing. The only one with whom they could communicate, be friends, and talk — I also said a year or half a year ago — is Russia. Here are the resources, you have the highest technologies. Let's cooperate together. This is the Eurasian region. And it would be the most powerful organization. What did they want?" he said.
"Macron has now come to his senses, or someone else at the twilight of their career, saying: we will establish contacts with Russia, we will talk. Well, nobody refused that. I was at the epicenter of this. Some issues were resolved directly through me. The French came here. I conveyed a message to them not only from myself but also from Putin, saying, 'Well, let's do it. There's no need to [hesitate].'"
Also, Lukashenka once again spoke favorably of Trump, who is trying to achieve peace in Ukraine.
"But they don't need this. This is, this is the reason for the OSCE. So, if the Peace Council takes a step towards activating its activities as its first step, everyone will leave there and come here if there is a result. There is no such result. There is no OSCE, and effectively no United Nations. And we want to preserve something. Well, yes, maybe this situation in the UN satisfies the permanent members of the Security Council. But what about other countries? How many are there, five members of the Security Council? Well, they want to throw a bone - make it seven or eight. But that won't change anything. With decisions made by consensus, where there is a right of veto. And to make it so that there is no right of veto is absolutely impossible. Absolutely impossible in the current situation. So my position is that the United Nations is a worthless organization, it solves no problems and will not solve any. Well, there isn't another. But we could start with the OSCE, especially timely: there is such turbulence in Europe that this region needs to be calmed down, and work needs to be done. This is my point of view. And regarding the path to peace, and this work in Europe, where we live — Belarus is geographically in the center of Europe — this worries us, so we agreed to be on the Peace Council," he said.
