Scammers profited from Belarusians who really wanted to get to Russian rapper Mot's concert
On February 14 and 15, "Minsk-Arena" hosted Russian singer Mot (Matvey Melnikov). Tickets for his show cost from 55 to 236 rubles, and it sold out long before the event date. That is why some Belarusians were willing to buy tickets from resellers and with a markup, a situation that scammers exploited.
Judging by social media, several dozens of Belarusians never made it to the rapper's concert, although they paid for it at an increased rate — at the entrance, it turned out that their tickets were fake.

Mot is a Russian singer who performs music in the genres of hip-hop, R&B, and soul. He is a former artist of the Black Star label. The photo shows a poster of the event in Minsk. Photo: ticketpro.by
"We really wanted to get to the concert, especially me. So my boyfriend bought tickets through resellers on "Kufar". But it turned out that the seller was unreliable. We couldn't check the authenticity of the tickets ourselves, because they were bought 1.5 months ago and we don't understand these things," one of the fans shared her pain on social media.
The fake was discovered already at the entrance to "Minsk-Arena" — the couple's tickets, they were told, had been scanned earlier, and they were not the first to receive such an unpleasant surprise right before the event.
Meanwhile, for two tickets, which would have cost 160 rubles on official websites, the young people paid 200.
Many other Belarusians are reporting a similar scam. They are advised to write a collective statement to the police, although they themselves do not believe that the fraudsters will be found, as the sellers' previous accounts on both "Kufar" and Telegram have been deleted.
"At the entrance, they said that about 30 people had been turned away with fake tickets," one of the Belarusian women recounts.

After user complaints, representatives of kufar.by also got involved in the situation.
