Ihar Brylo, former Minister of Agriculture and Food, as well as former assistant to Alexander Lukashenka for the Vitebsk region, is accused of receiving a bribe amounting to $1.5 million. This was announced at a press conference by Deputy Prosecutor General of Belarus, Aliaksei Stuk.

In November 2023, Brylo was relieved of his duties as Lukashenka's assistant. It was previously reported that he was detained by KGB officers as part of the so-called "dairy case". According to KGB chairman Ivan Tsertsel, 26 people were detained in this case, 15 of whom were arrested.
Previously, Ihar Brylo held the position of Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Food (since 2013), in 2021 he became First Deputy Minister, and from 2022 to July 2023, he headed the ministry.
In addition to the details of the Brylo case, Aliaksei Stuk also reported that another corruption case is currently under investigation, in which the bribe amount is $600,000.
Overall, according to him, in 2025, the number of corruption crimes decreased by 16%. Last year, 843 such crimes were identified. The largest share among them consists of receiving bribes (384 instances), embezzlement through abuse of official powers (245), and abuse of authority (105).
In total, 776 individuals who committed corruption offenses were identified. The most corruption-prone sectors named are industry (165 instances), agriculture (178), construction (78), and transport (93).
