Major from Hrodna Region Stole Almost a Million Rubles from the Regiment and Went to Prison
In Hrodna, a major was convicted who, using his official powers, over two years stole property worth almost a million rubles from his regiment. This became known from a document that was obtained by the editorial office of Hrodna.life.

Major I.V. Stasevich, head of communications for the staff of the 108th Separate Logistics Regiment, served in the Armed Forces. Using his official powers, over two years he stole property from the regiment worth 984 thousand rubles.
The man stole the property from September 2022 to April 2024. A criminal case was initiated against him under Part 4 of Article 210 of the Criminal Code — theft by abuse of official powers, committed on a large scale.
He faced up to 12 years in prison.
In December 2025, a verdict was issued. Stasevich was sentenced to eight years in prison with a fine of 500 basic units (21,000 rubles). He was stripped of his rank of major. He is also prohibited for five years from holding positions related to the performance of organizational, administrative, and economic duties.
