In a Minsk shopping center where a hypermarket recently closed, a hyper-discounter will open
In the Minsk shopping center DiaMond City, where the "Hi-Po" hypermarket recently closed , a new store in the hyper-discounter format will open. As the publication Blizko.by found out , "Mayak" will open in its place.

"Hi-Po" operated in this shopping center from July 2018 and occupied more than 6,000 square meters. The store closed on February 13, 2026, after almost seven years of operation. After this, many rumors appeared online about who would occupy the vacant space.
Information about the new tenant became known thanks to vacancies posted on job search websites. The advertisements indicate that the "Kopeyechka", "Mayak", "Dabranom" chain is recruiting employees for a new "Mayak" store in the DiaMond City shopping center.
Loaders, commodity specialists, controller-cashiers, merchandisers, sales floor administrators, and other employees are required.
According to information received on the "Dabranom" company's hotline, the store's opening is planned for approximately May 2026. Some sources note that it will be a hypermarket format.

"Mayak" is a hyper-discounter developed by the "Dabranom" company. The chain positions itself as a competitor to other hyper-discounters. The first "Mayak" store in Minsk opened in August 2021, and now about two dozen such establishments operate in the capital, with more than 150 across the country.
Formally, DiaMond City is not within Minsk city limits, but on the territory of the Shchomyslitsky rural council beyond the Minsk Ring Road (MKAD), opposite the Malinauka-6 district. However, many perceive it as a city shopping center, although it is inconvenient to get there without a car.
