Russian Military Personnel Prohibited from Using State Messenger Max, Which Is Imposed on the Rest of Society
According to reports from pro-government Russian bloggers, Russian servicemen in Ukraine were advised not to use the state messenger Max, following restrictions on Telegram. One of the Z-channels, citing sources, claims that orders were received by the troops not to install this service on devices with advanced capabilities, writes The Moscow Times.

Information about the ban on Max for Russian soldiers and officers was also confirmed by a source from the publication "Mediazona". According to its data, the reason is that the messenger is considered insufficiently secure. It is also stated that servicemen will soon be offered another communication program, but which specific platform is being referred to is not specified.
However, for civilian citizens, the Max messenger is not only not prohibited, but is also actively and prescriptively imposed.
Previously, Russian authorities stated their intention to strengthen restrictions against Telegram, accusing the company of non-compliance with legal requirements. This sparked criticism from part of the military community, which noted communication problems on the front.
