The US is insisting on a peace agreement between Russia and Ukraine by July 4 (United States Independence Day), writes Bloomberg, citing European and NATO officials.

Agency employees note that there are no signs that Russian President Vladimir Putin is ready to conclude a deal.
In an interview with CNN, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy stated that Trump wants Kyiv to sign a peace agreement with Russia and a deal with the United States and European countries providing security guarantees to Ukraine, and this should happen simultaneously, preferably at a grand ceremony.
It was previously reported that one of the deadlines for concluding a truce was mid-May.
Another date also mentioned is early November, when the midterm congressional elections will take place. A political victory for Trump would be the cessation of hostilities.
