According to forecasts by the Ministry of Emergency Situations, in an unfavorable scenario, flooding could affect settlements, garden cooperatives, and road sections in almost 60 districts. This primarily concerns territories in the basins of major rivers – Pripyat, Sozh, and Dnieper.
Rescuers have already identified the most probable locations for ice jams. Special consolidated groups, each consisting of at least 30 people, have been formed for rapid response. Particular attention is paid to ensuring transport accessibility in potentially dangerous zones.
Vadim Sinyavsky noted that, given the large amount of precipitation, a traditional development of the flood situation is expected. All relevant services have received specific tasks, and the situation is constantly monitored, especially on the eve of the thaw.
The pontoon bridge service of the Pinsk special forces detachment "ZUBR" center is ready, if necessary, to organize passage in areas where water may block roads. They have two types of floating bridges and ferry crossings at their disposal. The Ministry of Emergency Situations emphasizes that all units are in full readiness for operational actions.
