According to the statement, President Donald Trump has defined the operation's goals to ensure U.S. national security and global stability.
Karoline Leavitt highlights the following objectives of the operation:
Demilitarization — the destruction of all Iranian missile stockpiles and production facilities, as well as the complete defeat of the country's naval forces.
Counter-terrorism — the neutralization of Iranian proxy groups that destabilize the region.
Nuclear security — a final guarantee that Iran will never be able to create a nuclear warhead.
Karoline Leavitt reported that since the start of Operation "Epic Fury," 49 top leaders of the Iranian regime have already been eliminated, including Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei.
The White House added that President Trump considers these steps necessary to end Iran's 47-year aggression against Western civilization.
"America will win — terrorists will be defeated," the Press Secretary concluded, noting that the time of "weakness and cowardice" in relations with Tehran has ended.
