Today, the opening ceremony of the XIV Winter Paralympic Games will take place in Verona, Italy, reports team.by.
Belarusians will also compete for awards, performing in Italy in uniforms with national symbols, with the anthem and flag of Belarus.
Four of our athletes will take to the start in cross-country skiing: Valentina Birillo, Lidiya Loban, Darya Fiadkovich, and Roman Sviridenko.

Our athletes will have their first starts in classic style sprint at the XIV Winter Paralympic Games on March 10.
Individual start races in classic style for 10 km will take place on March 11, relays on March 14, and individual start races in free style for 20 km on March 15.
More than 600 athletes will participate in the XIV Winter Paralympic Games, competing for 79 sets of awards in six sports.
