Babaryka announced he will not participate in the elections to the Coordination Council
His party's organizing committee "Razam" will also not participate. The ex-presidential candidate and former political prisoner wrote about this on his Facebook page.

«Dear friends! I would like to present to you the position of the Organizing Committee of the "Razam" party regarding our participation in the Coordination Council. After repeated and detailed discussions, a decision was made for our party not to participate in the spring elections to this body.
There are two reasons for this decision.
1. We believe that before participating in the elections to the CC, it is necessary to change the principles of formation and interaction of all institutional bodies of democratic forces in exile based on a parliamentary-presidential republic, which should ensure the independence, transparency, and accountability of all these institutions.
We tried to postpone the elections until autumn to allow for the preparation and coordination of these proposals with all interested parties. However, we were unsuccessful.
2. The "Razam" party was initially planned as a genuinely consensual representative organization, acting in the interests of the Belarusian people and its members. At the moment, we do not see the possibility of truly ensuring the effectiveness of the CC and the expediency of our activities within its framework.
However, we support the participation of individuals (supporters of our party) and associations close to us in principles and goals ("Youth Offensive"), who have made a different decision,» — he wrote on Facebook.
Applications for participation in the elections are accepted until March 31; the elections themselves will take place from May 11 to 17.
