In addition to expensive electronic warfare methods or complex anti-aircraft systems, the Armed Forces of Ukraine have received a much cheaper and more effective means of countering aerial threats.

Videos have started appearing on social media showing Ukrainian soldiers demonstrating a new way to destroy Russian drones. The most impressive footage shows the neutralization of a Russian "Molniya" attack unmanned aerial vehicle using a special net launcher. This device is mounted on fast FPV drones.

The principle of the system's operation is quite simple and therefore reliable: using a special blank cartridge, the device fires a durable net measuring 3.7 by 3.7 meters towards the target. The unique design of the container and precisely calculated shot impulse ensure instantaneous unfolding and stabilization of the net in flight, which instantly entangles the propellers of the enemy drone, causing it to completely lose control and fall.
As the manufacturer explains, such a net launcher is not a replacement for electronic warfare systems, but it significantly expands their combat capabilities. This is especially relevant in cases where the enemy uses autonomous flight modes, control via fiber optics, or pre-programmed routes that are not affected by radio interference. In such conditions, physical interception becomes one of the few reliable ways to neutralize the threat.
