Residents of Novolukoml found the bird in the city garden – it was stuck in a tree fork and couldn't get out, the Vitebsk Regional Committee for Natural Resources and Environmental Protection reported.

It turned out that these owls had been living in the park for some time, but most locals weren't even aware of it. The bird was noticed on March 13 and specialists were immediately informed.
Representatives of the wild animal assistance commission arrived at the scene along with rescuers. The owl was carefully removed, examined, and sent to a specialized institution in Minsk.
According to specialists, its condition is now stable, and there is no threat to its life. After treatment and rehabilitation, the bird is planned to be returned to its natural habitat.
