“As I see it,” he said.

Alexander Lukashenka proposed to the USA an option to end the war in Iran. He announced this to journalists today, writes BelTA.
He spoke about this during negotiations with an American delegation led by Special Envoy John Coyle.
“I offered them my vision for ending the war in Iran. As I see it. I don't want to say this publicly. I offered them another option,” he said.
Alexander Lukashenka said that Special Envoy and lawyer John Coyle has a personal history connected with Iran, which the interlocutor shared during the negotiations. During the events of the Islamic Revolution in Iran in the late 70s - early 80s of the XX century, Americans died there.
“They don't really emphasize this. They talk about nuclear weapons, something else there. But in their minds — in the minds of Americans, especially in society — are those people who died then. And he, this John, was a lawyer for the relatives of the deceased. He told me personally. Therefore, he says, it all sits right here (inside) me,” Lukashenka shared details of the conversation.
Largely because of this, explained Alexander Lukashenka, the conversation began with the Iranian topic, although there were other issues on the agenda, including the topic of Ukraine.
He admitted that in a certain sense Belarus “got mixed up,” meaning that there is a certain level of relations with all involved parties and a desire to develop them.
“On the one hand, Iran, supposedly our allies. They didn't listen to me when I told them on the eve of the war, long before it happened. Americans know this. And the Emirates, Qatar, especially Oman — now we are focusing on them. They all got involved here. We are now talking with the Saudis. So here, it seems, are our people, and on the other side, ours. And here, God grant, that this ends. We have only one principle: it must all end. Because our people are both there and there. Everyone is suffering,” he stated.
