"Russia is Pressuring the US." Zelensky revealed new deadlines set by Russians for the capture of Donbas
On April 1, Ukraine and the United States will hold negotiations on ending the war in a video format. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky announced this during a press briefing on the occasion of the fourth anniversary of the liberation of Bucha, reports UNIAN.

"I will connect — they also asked me to. I spoke about this tonight with NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte. We agreed that he, I, Whitcoff, Kushner, Lindsey Graham — someone else will be there. We will discuss where we stand. And how close we are to trilateral agreements, or at least a trilateral meeting. So tomorrow we will have relevant contacts," Zelensky said.
The President of Ukraine also added that the most pressing issue in the negotiations remains the question of territories. According to him, the Ukrainian compromise is a readiness to stop the war along the front line. Meanwhile, the Russian Federation continues to demand Ukraine's withdrawal from the territory of the Donetsk region.
"They are telling the American side: now there are new deadlines: in two months they will capture the east of our state, they will capture Donbas. And therefore Ukraine has two months to withdraw. And then the war will end. And if Ukraine does not withdraw, then Russia will capture Donbas and then there will be other conditions. A logical question is — if their goal is only Donbas, then why do they say they will go further if they manage to capture Donbas? So, the issue is not about Donbas," Zelensky added.
According to him, the Russian Federation will not be able to implement this plan in practice, and Moscow understands this. However, they continue to pressure the United States to make Washington force Ukraine to make concessions.
"I believe that today Russia is pressuring America. Because elections are approaching. It is clear that the United States needs to take various steps both in domestic and foreign policy. We very much hope to restore logic, not emotionality, to Russia on the negotiation track," Zelensky explained.
