Many crows have appeared in Zhodino, residents are sounding the alarm. Is there really cause for concern?
Every spring in Zhodino, there's an increase in the number of crows, especially in courtyards, near schools, and in parks. This year, their appearance near School No. 4 is being most discussed. The noise and high activity of the birds have caused alarm among residents, but specialists emphasize that this is a natural phenomenon, not an emergency, writes "Minskaya Prauda".

In spring, crows become particularly active: they look for nesting sites, form pairs, and defend their territory. The city is convenient for them because it's warmer, there's less danger, and plenty of food. Therefore, they temporarily gather in places with many people.
Specialists note that such behavior is a normal seasonal phenomenon that doesn't last long. After the nesting period, the birds usually leave these places on their own.

Representatives of the nature protection service explain that crows are wild birds protected by law. Their appearance near residential buildings and schools is not a violation. Intervention is only possible in case of a real threat, such as aggressive behavior or sanitary problems.
It is also emphasized that one cannot independently deal with the birds — destroying nests or driving them away is illegal. Only relevant services are authorized to do this.
