Katsiaryna Vadanosava Donates 10 Thousand Euros for Belarusian Political Prisoners

These are the funds she had left after fundraising for her mother's treatment.

Katsiaryna was collecting money through "BySol" for her mother's treatment. But, unfortunately, a miracle did not happen. The collected money went towards funeral expenses and honoring her memory. In her fundraising campaign, Katsiaryna declared that if not all funds were used, she would donate them to other "BySol" campaigns.

10 thousand euros remained from the collected amount, and Katsiaryna is transferring these funds to an emergency fundraiser for political prisoners released on March 19. Due to technical reasons, the donation is being made in several transfers. "BySol" has already received the larger part of this amount for the emergency fundraiser, the fund announced on its social networks.

Before Christmas, on December 23, Katsiaryna's mother, Nelli Vadanosava, suffered a severe stroke and was hospitalized. The woman was paralyzed and did not regain consciousness. Doctors promptly arrived, took her to the hospital, and performed surgery. "Half of her brain is filled with blood. This is irreversible," Katsiaryna described the situation.

At this time, it was discovered that the Office for Foreigners had not registered the elderly woman in the database of insured persons. Katsiaryna then expressed concern that the bill for the surgery and other medical procedures could amount to tens to hundreds of thousands of zlotys. After this, a charity fundraiser on "BySol" quickly collected €15,000.

On January 1, it became known that her mother had passed away.
