A traveler and businessman from Minsk found a bride through social media in two days — he liked a girl from Russia the most
31-year-old businessman A. wrote that he was looking for a future wife. In two days, he received 150 proposals from girls all over the world. And now: he has already proposed to his bride.

He told his story on social media.
A. turned his love for travel into work. He himself has visited 55 countries (only in Iceland he has been about 20 times), and now he organizes unconventional tours for others.
Before meeting his future wife, A. was in a not very successful long-distance relationship. The guy, who travels a lot, mainly lives in Belarus, while the girl he was dating at the time settled in the Netherlands.
The girl followed the experienced traveler's Instagram — they started corresponding due to similar interests. But they never managed to start living together. The lovers only met during their travels.
They broke up and got back together several times. The couple decided to finally determine the fate of their relationship in a rather interesting way. Last year, they walked 790 kilometers together along a pilgrimage route to the cathedral in Santiago de Compostela in Spain.
Both A. and his chosen one had previously walked one of the routes separately, so they knew well how to prepare for a month-long walking trip. But by the end of the difficult journey, they realized that they still didn't see a future together, and finally parted ways.
A few months later (this was in 2025), the young man started looking for a wife through social media — Instagram, Facebook, and Threads. He wrote that he didn't want to wander around Tinder and organize a dating marathon.
About himself, he reported: he had lived in Europe, worked in China and Russia, is a Master of Psychology, and an economist by his first education. He added that he is completely independent in household matters, loves yachting, morning runs, dogs, and people with depth — with whom there is something to talk about and to be silent with.
He also revealed financial matters: he lives outside the city, is renovating a two-room Euro apartment in "Minsk World" (a 15-year loan), drives an electric BMW. He earns an average of two thousand euros monthly.
There weren't many requirements for the bride. A. wrote that he was looking for "not a princess and not a kept woman". "An integral, energetic, inquisitive, cheerful, and sporty girl between 21 and 29 years old. Russian-speaking — preferably from Belarus, Russia, or Ukraine. Childless, unmarried, with a desire to create a family in the future. With higher education, personal income, and, preferably, knowledge of English".
Later in the comments, he explained that the most important thing was a common mental background and for the chosen one's native language to be Russian.
Soon, A. reported: in two days, his post across various social networks was seen by over two hundred thousand people in total, and he received messages from more than 150 girls from different countries around the world — from Portugal to Korea.
Among those who responded was I., a Russian woman who lived in Moscow, but happened to be in Minsk at that moment.
Soon, the young people met, and after a few dates, the girl packed her things in Moscow and, along with her dog, moved to her beloved in Belarus.
On Instagram, I. shares that she is studying psychology, shares recipes as a pastry chef (she currently makes cakes in Minsk) and is trying to create a "Tinder for dog owners" — so people can find company for dog walks.
She also loves to travel — in 2024, for example, she published photos from occupied Crimea.
I. announced that this year A. proposed to her — and she accepted. In March, the couple traveled to Russia to the girl's family to seek their blessing.
The girl writes that they arrived with adventures they will tell their grandchildren about. But when asked if it was a good sign, her beloved replied: "It will be fun!"
